Panama Log

Ive been working on the canal for nearly a month now and im at the very limit of my will. The heat here is unbareable and the insects are in swarms. Ive been ill as well. The Americans brutal on continuing on the canal. Carrying dynamite through the rigid terrain is extremely dangerous. We are told to carry on the trail and not turn back unless needed. I have lost many of my fellow islanders to the explosions of the dynamite. Also, the railing incident which occired the other day. I lost my best friend whom Ive known since childhood in the incident. I have to keep pushing on. I have a little time life here but i have to continue so nothing goes wro..............
